When game day rolls around, it’s easy to reach for chips, wings, and cheesy dips, but what if you could keep things delicious and waistline-friendly?

Enter: the Mediterranean Hummus Board.

This easy-peasy dish is my go-to when I want to offer a healthier option that’s still packed with flavor. Believe it or not, it’s a real crowd pleaser!

When I say this is easy, I do mean easy.

So, first things first … grab a good-quality store-bought hummus (no shame in that… it’s a busy season and I don’t have time to make my own either!). Spread it across a large platter or wooden board. Don’t make it too thin because you want your guests to be able to scoop up a good, hearty bite.

Next, drizzle a little high-quality olive oil (if it’s in a clear or plastic bottle, it’s definitely not high quality) right over the top and sprinkle with black pepper, smoked paprika, chopped dill, or za’atar for an extra punch of flavor. If you want to go next-level delicious, spoon a bit of tzatziki sauce made with Greek yogurt over the top or off to the side; it’s creamy, tangy, and the perfect Mediterranean touch.

Then start layering the goodies! I always recommend using the freshest and as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. So many of the ingredients used in this dish can be found in your garden or your local farmer’s market.

Here’s what I like to add to our hummus:

*Sliced cucumbers

*Cherry tomatoes (halved)

*Kalamata and green olives

*Red onion – try pickled red onion for a tangy flavor

*Roasted red peppers

*Artichoke hearts

*Feta chunks or crumbles

Finally, I use Pita wedges or whole-grain pita chips for scooping up all the flavorful goodness. Think of it as Mediterranean nachos.

You can elevate your dip by tossing in some marinated mozzarella balls or grilled chicken skewers and make it more like a meal.

It’s colorful, satisfying, and guilt-free, which is basically the holy grail of game day snacks. Plus, it makes a beautiful centerpiece for your spread.

So, while everyone else is piling up plates of nachos, you’ll be diving into something fresh, healthy, and every bit as craveable!
